Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time, and your time is very important to us. Unexpected emergencies can occur on a daily basis, however. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. We ask for your patience and understanding for any delays caused by emergencies. Please know that we will devote the same careful attention to you and your pet as we have provided to others. Most of our appointments will last between 20 and 45 minutes. Please let our staff know if you have specific time constraints on the day of your appointment.

For your convenience, 'drop off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet in at a scheduled time and leave him/her with us for a few hours. Usually we will ask you to 'drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

We ask that surgical patients are dropped off in the morning between 8:00-8:30 a.m. on the day of the procedure. Dropping the pet off in the morning gives us time to perform a thorough examination, complete any required bloodwork, and administer medications that will ease the transition into anesthesia. We will contact you by 3:00 p.m. to update you on the procedure and set up a time for your pet to go home. Some surgical patients go home the same night while others will remain in the hospital for one or more days.

How to Bring Your Pet to the Hospital

Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. We ask that all dogs be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, cash, and personal checks.
